Out Live Your Life-Book Review

I chose to review the book, “Out Live Your Life” by Max Lucado because I had read other books from this author as a child and enjoyed them.  This book shows us that we can make a difference in the world today.

We all tend to turn our heads and say the problem is too big for us.  What this book shows us is that we can all do something. Regardless of how small, God can use it for His glory.

We see examples from the bible where Jesus gets involved and makes a difference in the lives of those in need.  In today's world, there are so many needs, big and small.  And if we are willing to help, God can use us in so many ways to make a difference in the situation.

I think every Christian should read this book.  I think if we read this book, and begin to help others we can make a difference in the lives of those hurting and in need.   This book also has a in depth study guide in the back. I think this would be a great group study. I think this would make an excellent book to give anyone.

I was given a copy of this book from book sneeze for my honest opinion.

Book Review-Will the World End in 2012?

I chose to review the book Will the World End in 2012 by Raymond C. Hundley Ph.D.
from Booksneeze because I am very intrigued by the end of time predictions.

I really enjoyed reading this book it was very interesting.  Each topic is discussed and given reason as to why or why not the prediction can happen.  This is easy for the average person to pick up and understand.  It gives you the scientific evidence of a prediction or the lack there of.

This book is written from a Christian stand point.  All of the evidence is presented but ultimately it gives the reader a choice to decide where they stand on each of the end of the world predictions.  I think this book is good for anyone who may have questions about all of the 2012 predications.  As a Christian it is our responsibility to be prepared for the end of  time, whether it be December 21, 2012 or tomorrow.

As a blogger I was given this complimentary copy to review.  The above opinions are mine and are honest.

Crazy Dog T-shirts and NachoMama Tees

I received a shirt from Crazy Dog T-Shirts and their other website NachoMama Tees. Both of the websites have a bunch of shirts and a LOT of cute designs. I got the shirt called "how i roll muffin shirt" and I am going to giveaway the "you rock you rule shirt". They have so many funny t-shirts, it was very hard to pick what shirt was my favorite.

These shirts are made from 100% cotton and very light weight, they are made to look somewhat vintage. The sizing chart helps very much when you are trying to decide what size fits you. These shirts are made a fashion fit, and the girls shirts run a little bit small. The printing on these shirts does not look cheap and they hold up very well through washing. Whenever I wear any of their shirts I always get a lot of comments on how cute they are. They have a very wide selection of t-shirts on both websites.

What YOU can win:

Assassin's Creed II (nintendo DS)

I bought this game at Target for $29.99. This game is rated "T", it contains violence, and minimal blood. This is a action game that will keep you interested until the end! They make this game for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Nintendo DS. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone under 12, because I don't want 12 year olds walking around town trying to kill someone (haha).

I enjoy this game very much. When you are at the beginning it can be very confusing, but after you get passed the first level it is alot easier to understand. The graphics for this game is great! In the nintendo DS version of this game, it does not show much blood at all. This game keeps you interested until the end. I am not the best person at playing video games, so I definately enjoy the endless lives (haha). They did a great job making the characters in this game. I LOVE this game, I would recommend this game to any of those gamers who loves action and blood!

Covergirl Smokey Shadow Blast!

I recently received one of these in the mail from my sister. I use the Tempest Blue and I absolutely LOVE IT! You can buy one for $7 at Target. They come in 6 funky colors. I think Covergirl had a great idea when they made this one! I think every teenage girl will fall in love with this product after they try it.

There is a "Step 1" and a "Step 2". Step 1 is eyeshadow (apply it to your eyelid) and Step 2 is eye liner (apply on the crease of the eye lid and around the eye). The two different ends help make that great look you want. The only thing I do not like is the eye liner doesn't stay pointed, the end gets dull the more you use it and it makes a thicker line around your eye. The colors will fit most anyone, and match almost everything! I also like the size, because it is small enough to fit in your purse (just in case you need to re-apply). I have really fell in love with this product. It comes in very handy in the mornings when you are running late and you don't have alot of time to do alot of make-up. You can make it look very simple or you can make it bold. I prefer the simple look. I have not tried all of the colors, but I do intend on trying them all. I will most deffinately reccomend this to all of my girl-friends.

Gigi's Big Break! (DVD)

Gigi's big break is about honesty and loving siblings. It has 2 stories in it (The White Lie and The Pink Suprise). You can find this DVD at Amazon for $14. It also has 5 special features such as a sing along song, a how-to-draw mini feature, and also dvd-rom extras with coloring pages. It is a little over an hour long. The stories are about 30 minutes each.

In the first episode, The White Lie, Gigi gets in trouble by telling a white lie. She learns that when we do wrong and try to cover it up, things usually end up worse, but that God loves us anyway. This story is based on John 1:8-9.

In the second episode, The Pink Suprise, Gigi learns that the world doesn't revolve around her. She has to learn that siblings are a blessing and a lifetime adventure, but that sometimes means that you are not first in everything. Gigi has to learn to love the new bundle of joy that God has given her family. This is based on Luke 10:21.

In this DVD children will learn to be honest and love thier siblings. I think this is a very cute DVD and can relate to a lot of things that young children face (best for kids 3 and up if you ask me). Although this DVD is meant for children, I think everyone can get something out of it. The stories are interesting enough that children will stay interested the whole time.

Toshiba Satellite Laptop!

I bought my laptop about a year ago. The price is anywhere from $650-$800 (depending on if it is on sale). I love my laptop, it fits all my personal needs, but it also good for school projects and papers. I bought mine at BestBuy. Before I bought it, I did alot of research on what laptops would work better with my lifestyle and my use for it (school/personal).

This laptop has a great webcam, which I use my webcam to make funny videos with my friends. The battery lasts about 2-3 hours depending on what you are doing. I love the size of  the screen (15.4"). It is not too big, but it is not too small either. I really like the ease of turning it on and off, I know some laptops I have used take forever to turn on and forever to turn off, this one is alot quicker! One thing I dont like about it is fingerprints seem to love it (if you are a perfectionist that could be a problem). I like the idea of the touch screen buttons at the top, but most of the time I will accidently hit them and turn something on that I dont want turned on right then (haha). The keyboard set up of this laptop is a little different than some, but after you use it for a while I think it is easier to use. It has 3 USB ports, I love that because I can have my iPod charging while I am uploading pictures from my camera.

Overall, I would recommend this laptop to any of my friends.

iPod Touch!

I have a iPod touch and I LOVE it! Apple has deffinatly done a great job on this one! They come in 8gb, 16gb, and 32 gb. They range in price anywhere from $200-299.

I have a 8gb iPod. I LOVE it! I have 715 songs, 2 music videos, 200 pictures on my iPod and I STILL have about 4gb free on my iPod. The apps are great, there are SO many to choose from. My favorite app is the game "Pacman". They have 1,000's of free apps, and also 1,000's of .99 (and above) apps. The battery life is GREAT I can go about a week without having to charge it sometimes. I also like the style of it, it isnt bulky. I have dropped my iPod a few times and it still works great! The only problem I have with it is, it will not allow me to use facebook on it. I love the ease of being able to upload music and pictures. They make SO many covers and accessories for the iPod touch, I'm not sure where to begin! My favorite is the hard covers (because i drop mine so much), but they also have soft covers that come in all different colors.

I think Apple could have done a better job with the headphones they send with the iPod touch, but other than that there is nothing I would change.

I would recommend this to everyone.

Twilight

I REALLY enjoyed Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. This book will capture you in its romance/action. I really like this book because it pulls all the romance in with the adventure and action. It is a fiction book (which is my favorite).

Bella Swan is a clumsy, accident-prone girl who moved from Phoenix, Arizona, to Forks, Washington, to live with her father. Though many boys are attracted to her when she arrives, she falls in love with Edward Cullen.  Edward Cullen falls in love with Bella soon after she arrives in Forks. He is the "bad boy" vampire.  Jacob Black is Bella's best friend. Also a forgotten childhood friend of Bella.

There is some bad lanuage and suggestive passages. I would not recommend this book for anyone under 13.

Overall, I think this book is great!  I love the way Meyer wrote this book, it has alot of suspense in it (which I like). The books cost anywhere from $10-20 (depending on if you find it on sale). I really enjoyed all the characters in the book (Bella, Edward, Jacob). I think almost everyone would enjoy this book. Twilight has a unique blend of romance and suspense that is hard to resist.

LG EnV3 cell phone!

I got my enV 3 about a year ago. I love pretty much everything about it! It has texting (of course), picture messaging, QWERTY keyboard, MP3 player, and alot more!!

The good stuff about this phone is it is small and really durable! I love the 3.0 megapixel camera on it. It has a large internal screen (2.6") I really like the keyboard, for all you texters out there the keyboard is great! I send about 20,000 texts a month and they keys haven't fallen off yet! I also love the "favorites" button, this button enables you to see your main contacts fast. I have 5 people on mine just in case I need to send a quick text or call. My inbox will hold about 400 messages before I have to delete them.

There are only a few problems I have with the phone. One of them is the battery life, I have to charge my phone everynight or I won't have a phone the next day. The Speakerphone is great for listening to people talk, but when you try to talk it isn't that great. Mine also has alot of glitches, when I go to my pictures most of the time it will restart my phone, sometimes it will freeze up and I have to take the battery out to get it to un-freeze but other than that this is a great phone for someone who texts as much as I do!

Yellowbox Flip Flops

Last summer, while mom and I were back-to-(home)school shopping, we came across a sale on Yellowbox flip flops at Belk and decided to try them out. They come in a ton of crazy, funky, fun designs to fit almost anyone's personality.

The cost ranges from about $20-25, unless you can find them on sale. If you ask me they are deffinately worth the price (but I wasn't the one paying this time). What I really like about them is that they are SUPER comfortable, I always feel like I can walk 12 miles when I am wearing them. I love the super fun colors and animal prints, they match about anything I have in my closet. I wore mine almost every day for about a year before the soles started wearing down (and they were still comfortable to walk in). Another good think about them is they don't leave blisters on my toes like some cheaper brands have.

The only bad thing about these flip flops is that my mom always ends up stealing them from me.

Revolve 2010

I recently joined Booksneeze so that I could review some books for them. The first one I picked out was Revolve 2010 because it is geared toward teenage girls.  I chose this book because it had the complete New Testament along with quizzes, real life stories about teens, and especially the fashion tips.

My most favorite thing about this book is that it looks like a magazine and includes all the fun things that magazines have, but it is geared toward christian teens. I really enjoyed the guy 411 because it dishes the dirt on guys and tells me what they like about girls from the christian point of view. The quizzes are very fun, my favorite quiz was "are you a talkaholic?" (I'm a good listener and talker if you were wondering haha). There are also stories about real teenagers and thier real life stories. That helped me realize that there are people out there going through the same things I am. The celeb drama-trauma really made me laugh, mainly because i can relate to what happened to them. The fashion and make-up tips really come in handy. I really like this because in with all of this fun the whole New Testament is also included.

I actually liked everything in this magazine, and I would deffinately recommend it to my friends.
